Irismar Henrie, President

Irismar Henrie, founder and president of  IRIS TRADE and IRIS NATURALS INTERNATIONAL, is very passionate about finding her American, Brazilian Chinese and European clients the best industrial products as well as produced raw materials for their end uses or applications. With over 30 years of experience in the international market, working not only with a diversified range of small, large and multinational Companies, importing and exporting a varied of manufactured products but also with international banks, dealing with the complex world of international trade and its secrets.

IRIS NATURALS INTERNATIONAL is a result of her passion with the Pharmaceutical world, when she first started getting to know and understand very well this field almost 30 years ago, working for a German based multinational laboratory in Brazil called KNOLL Pharma Laboratory, which had as main target the introduction of new products with new formulations to the Brazilian Market. At KNOLL Pharma Laboratory, our President gained valuable experience in the development and market of new products and this new world was fascinating to her. Afterwards, she never stopped working hard  to further broaden her expertise in the industries she was serving.

Irismar Henrie has a Bachelor’s degree in the English, German, Spanish and Portuguese Languages from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in Brazil. Furthermore, both Diplomas of the German language from Goethe-Institut and Ludwig-Maximilans-University in Munich, Germany.

In addition she was a scholarship holder of FUNCEX (Fundação Centro de Estudos do Comércio Exterior), a private institution whose main purpose is the development of Brazilian foreign trade, associated with Cacex – Carteira de Comércio Exterior do Banco do Brasil S.A,. FUNCEX is a permanent and independent channel of communication between the private and public sector, important for the development of foreign trade policies consistent with the desires and capabilities of entrepreneurs.

During the last 30 years, Irismar Henrie continued to study, taking many important courses in the field of international trade. As she always says; “Those who do not bring themselves up-to-date fall behind.”

Marcella Cavour, General Manager

Marcella Cavour joined IRIS TRADE in 2006 as the General Manager.  Her main responsibilities are to oversee the selection of suppliers and manufacturers for goods being exported from United States as well as all processes involved in getting the products being exported to the hands of the end users.  Cavour also assists the new IRIS NATURALS division to become the supplier of choice for Natural extracts in the US Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic market by working to expand IRIS NATURAL’s presence and visibility.  

Before joining IRIS TRADE, Cavour moved to Chicago and worked for ARAMARK for over 7 years as Program Manager in the Supply Chain Management Team overseeing national purchasing programs for the Facility Services Division.  Cavour worked in New York for the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce while pursuing her MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University. She graduated at the top of her class.

Cavour also worked for MESBLA, Automotive Division, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, where she assisted in the launching of the “Automation Process” of several Dealerships in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Cavour has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in Brazil.

Cavour’s international background offers clients a unique vision of the international and US market and culture.  Cavour resides in Chicago, with her husband and three children.
